The village of Bouni is a coastal village on the island of Grande Comore, in the Comoros. The population of the village was 831 according to the 1991 census. Bouni is famous for its sandy beach on the east coast of Grande Comore. This wide, white sandy beach, lined with palm trees, is truly paradise, like being trapped in a jungle, because the amount of vegetation around it is impressive, and this gives it a distinctly special character. From small bushes to large palm trees adorn the landscape, and the white sand plus the blue water create the perfect setting. It also has small beach bars and areas for sports such as volleyball.
