In the depths of the wilderness of the Zemplén Mountains is the terminus of the Pálháza small railway in Rostalló. Here you will find the Rostallo Ecoscience Education Center, the most advanced tourist house in the region. The education and tourism center, which was created by repurposing unused buildings, serves several purposes: it offers forest school and accommodation services, as well as interactive forest environmental education. A special feature of the RÖNK is that the buildings also display the architectural elements of a traditional Zemplén village, the stylistic features of which are presented in a mini skansen. A well house, a bell tower, a reception gate, a children's playground and other features surround the accommodation and the exhibition and activity building. The complex also includes an exhibition and hands-on building with a research room where you can study the living and non-living environment. The most interesting part of the building is the exhibition area, where visitors can take a virtual walk through the forest and explore its wildlife, or look around from a life-size hunting lodge. This center is suitable not only for hikers, because the Zemplén and Upper Tisza regions offer a wide range of active recreational opportunities. The castles of Sárospatak, Füzér and Regéc are close by, the lovers of water adventures can enjoy the waves of the Bodrog and Hernád rivers. In 2023, the RÖNK was voted Tourist House of the Year by a public vote from a field of 10 nominees.
