Jabal al Dukhan ot the Mountain of Smoke is a mountain in the southern governorate of Bahrain. With an average altitude of 134 meters above sea level, it is the highest point in the country. The Mountain of Smoke is so named because of the haze that often surrounds it on humid days. There are several caves of indeterminate type near the mountain. In and around the mountain, flint dating back to the Stone Age has been found.
