Trésor Regional Nature Reserve is one of French Guiana's regional nature reserves. Located about 20 kilometers from Roura, the reserve is adjacent to the Kaw-Roura Marshland National Nature Reserve on the flank of Kaw Mountain. From mountain forest to swamp forest to savannah, the reserve contains a variety of ecosystems. The mountain, 337 meters high, is an obstacle to the trade winds, which leads to a very high level of humidity, leading to an extremely rich flora and fauna. More than 1,100 plant species have been identified, along with 312 bird species, 101 mammal species, 70 reptile species, 47 amphibian species and 109 ant species. In the reserve, a large number of butterflies can be observed. Rare and endemic plants such as Vochysia neyratii and Astrocaryum rodreguisei are found in small forest areas at the base.
